Add Ons UI Tweaks

We’ve made a series of small visual and usability improvements to the Add-Ons section within the admin area.

These tweaks help create a cleaner, more consistent interface, making it easier for admins to view, manage, and configure add-ons.

While these are minor changes, they contribute to a smoother and more polished overall experience.

Metrics and Admin Permission Checks

We’ve strengthened the permission checks across the Metrics and Admin areas to ensure users only access features they are authorised to use.

Previously, users could reach certain Metrics or Admin pages by typing the URL directly, even if they didn’t have the correct permissions. This has now been resolved.

With this update:

  • Users can no longer access restricted Metrics or Admin pages by visiting the route directly.
  • Permission checks are now consistently enforced across the platform.
  • Access is fully aligned with each user’s assigned role and privileges.

This improvement enhances security and ensures a more reliable, predictable experience for all users.

Chat Summary Add On

We’ve introduced a new Chat Summary Add-On to help agents work more efficiently when handling customer conversations.

When this add-on is enabled, agents will now see a 'Summarise' button at the end of every chat.
By clicking this button, the system will automatically generate a concise summary of the conversation using our Azure-hosted ChatGPT service.

The summary is displayed directly on the screen, along with a copy button, making it quick and easy for agents to transfer the information into their CRM or any other system they use.

This update is designed to save time, reduce manual writing, and help ensure consistent and accurate record-keeping across all chats.

Operational Hours Administration

We’ve added a new Operational Hours section to the Synthetix Cloud admin area, giving administrators greater control and flexibility over managing opening times.

With this update, admins can now:

  • View the organisation’s current weekly operational hours.
  • Add, edit, or remove daily time intervals to reflect standard opening and closing times.
  • Set up exception periods — such as holidays or special events — including names, dates, times, and whether the organisation is closed.
  • See helpful validation messages if any information is entered incorrectly, ensuring hours are saved accurately.

This enhancement makes it easier for teams to keep their operational hours up to date and ensures that services relying on this schedule remain consistent and reliable.
