APIs v5.40.0

File upload - Improved file safety

We’ve introduced an update to strengthen how files are checked when they are uploaded to the system.

What changed

The platform now applies stricter rules to certain types of documents that can carry hidden automated content. These files are no longer accepted in order to reduce potential risk.

What this means for you

  • Lower risk from harmful file content
  • Safer document handling
  • Better screening of uploads

Most everyday files will continue to work as normal. Only a small set of higher-risk formats is affected.

Was anything impacted?

No existing files were changed or removed. This update only applies to new uploads.

Why we do this

Restricting higher-risk file types is part of our ongoing work to keep the platform safe and reliable for everyone.

Security enhancements

We’ve made an update to improve the security and reliability of how the system handles certain internal requests.

What changed

A small improvement was made to how the system processes and checks information before it is used. This helps prevent unexpected or unwanted behaviour.

What this means for you

  • Improved protection
  • More robust system behaviour
  • Greater reliability in the background

No user action is required. Everything is already updated.

Was anything impacted?

There is no indication that customer data was affected. This change was made as part of routine system hardening.

Why we do this

We continuously refine the platform to ensure it remains safe, stable, and aligned with current security standards.
